Detailed Description

Measure allowing to compute kurtosis of intensities for shape.

Kurtosis measure computes the kurtosis of image pixel/voxel intensity values associated to a 2d/3d shape.

For recall, the kurtosis computed on a set of values $\{v_i\}_{1\leq i \leq n, n>0}$ equals to:

\[ \dfrac{\sum_{i=1}^{n}{(v_i-\bar{v})^4}}{[\sum_{i=1}^{n}{(v_i-\bar{v})^2}]^2}-3 \]

with $\bar{v}$ the mean of $\{v_i\}$

Here is an example of kurtosis measurement in 2d case :
