Detailed Description

computation of distance from shape barycenter to nearest neighbor shape barycenter for each shape

This measure allows to compute the distance from the shape barycenter to its nearest neighbor shape barycenter. It is based on a geometric analysis of shape neighborhood.

Here is an example of nearest barycenter computation for several shapes :

In the previous figure, the shapes (ie. the polygonal approximation of boundaries), are colored with respect to the computed distance to nearest barycenter.
